Beyond Good is a US-based company that sells chocolate and vanilla from Madagascar and Uganda into the US market. Beyond Good operates a factory in Madagascar, which sources cocoa directly from farmers to produce chocolate bars and works through intermediaries to source Ugandan cocoa and Madagascan vanilla. Beyond Good aims to source directly from smallholder farmers and looking to improve the chocolate supply chain systemically. When working directly with cocoa farmers in Madagascar, by removing intermediaries the company can offer both a higher price and a higher volume purchased.
